These recordings were made sometime between December and May of 2022/23, almost always at night. I was working in a really toxic workplace during this time, so I think of these tracks as reflections of that.

These tracks are somnolent meditations on distress, anxiety, helplessness, stress, ennui, malaise, hate, pain, dread, discomfort, fight or flight, bad dreams, body odor, mold, ocular migraines, swelling, ephemera, the modern workplace, chronic depression, nervousness, bureaucracy, waning joys, identity, toil, drudgery, soreness, The American Civil War, dependency, routines, predictability, among other things.

These last years have been marked by intense turmoil and distress, such that life has felt like a fiery loop with no softness or kindness. Making these tracks helped soothe the burning ache of my daily trials. Though conceived in pain, I delight in their wake.

I am thankful for the support, artistic and otherwise, I receive regularly from my family, my friends, and my dogs.
